LET GOD CALL THE SHOTS

LET GOD CALL THE SHOTS
''Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain."

In the race of life the part of man is preparation, it is within the jurisdiction of God to determine the time for manifestation. Despite the planting of Paul and the watering of Apollos, it was God that gave the increase eventually. God always calls the shots in the game of life.

Life is like a game, a sport. Remember the writer of Hebrews says we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses. In other words, just as in a stadium we have fans and a cheering or mocking crowd in like manner in the race of a Christian we are surrounded by heroes of the  faith that have gone ahead of us.

Paul describes the Christian as an athlete. He said know ye not that they which run in a race run all but one receiveth the price, so RUN THAT YE MAY OBTAIN. Do you notice that on a race track all that the athletes have to do is to show up on the track for the event? No matter how skilled or swift the athlete is he has no business calling the shots. There is another whom they wait on, he fires the gun and at the sound of that gun they are off to the finish line.

WHAT'S THE WISDOM IN THIS?
God must be the one to call the shots in our lives. Telling us when to move and when to stop. He's supposed to be the pilot of our destinies, taking us to where he had ordained for us long before we were ever formed in our mother's womb. Romans says for as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the Sons of God.
Do you also notice that when a runner moves, even by a nanosecond, before the gun is shot is fired, he is immediately disqualified from such a race. He took off before time. Whenever we take off on our own before God calls the shots we loose his backing and support and we run at the risk of jeopardizing our destinies and opportunities for greatness given to us by God.

Let God call the shots in your life. The Preacher tells us that he makes all things beautiful in his time.

Central Truth: Let God call the shots in your life. It would make all the difference.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 9:23-27

PRAYER:
Lord, call the shots in my life, I don't want to be disqualified from the race of destiny in Jesus name. Amen

BE A CHANNEL

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. "

Have you ever seen a pipeline? Sure you have. The pipe conveys liquid substances from one point to another. It serves as a passage way for water, etc to pass through.
In like manner, God intends that we be a channel through which Divine virtues are transmitted to the earth. You were designed to exist as a channel to bring to manifestation spiritual realities and the will of God where your life and every other person attached to you is concerned. The Holy Spirit is an example of who and what a channel should be. In John 14 the scripture tells us that "he will not speak of his own" In other words, he wouldn't speak on his own authority, though he has his own authority. It says further that "whatsoever he shall hear that shall he also speak".

Though the Holy Spirit is God yet he chooses not to use his authority in fulfilling his Divine purpose on earth. Paul in the book of Ephesians 5:1 admonishes us to be imitators of God.

In order for you to be a proper channel for impacting mankind with the things of heaven you need to to get the following facts.

Get these quick facts about being a channel:
1. You surrender your own authority: the water pipe never decides or determines what flows through it, it quietly stays positioned while you pass whatsoever it is you'd want to pass through. Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal with God, the Holy Spirit has chosen to speak only what he receives. Paul tells us to "present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service"

2. It's connected to a source: a water pipe doesn't store water in itself. It is connected to a tank or a réservoir. The réservoir releases water that flows through the pipe. God is our source. Everything flows from Him. He's Life. Jesus says "I am the way the Truth and the Life". In like manner we are not meant to live independent of God. The pipe remains dry as long nothing flows through. When we disconnect ourselves from God we are dry and irrelevant to our world. Stay connected.

3. It has a Destination: the pipe connects one point to another. Water flows from the tank to the tap. The tap is used within the house. Jesus said to "love your neighbour as yourself". In other words, the persons around us are to benefit from what we carry and what flows through us. Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power and went about doing good and healing all those oppressed of the devil" The world is our mandate, the whole of humanity is our target. Our world needs our salt. The world is our field.

Central Truth: You bare within you the life of God meant to impart your world.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: John 14:13-16

PRAYER:
LORD, let me never be dry in the name of Jesus. Amen

Taking Responsibility for the Truth

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."  John 8:32

There's no bondage that exists in real terms. Every man's bondage is tied to his ignorance. He who delights in knowledge and is on a constant quest for revelation maintains a life of Liberty. When you see a man in bondage he is restricted  always within a particular boundary. Hence,  we can say that your boundaries are limited and restricted as long as you stay ignorant. Your level of divine expression on earth is tied to how much of the word of Christ resides in you.

Just taking a while to surf through the Internet would reveal how little people know about the truth of God's word. The opening scripture says and you shall know the truth. To come to the knowledge of the truth you've got to follow these steps:

1. Be a Disciple: the preceding scripture says "if ye continue in my word then are ye my disciples". Diligence in the study and practice of scripture results in a reproduction of the life of Jesus in you.

2. Take responsibility: it's often easy for us to leave our spiritual growth and progress in the knowledge to God to out pastors and Sunday school teachers. However, Jesus is particular here, he says AND Ye. Search the scriptures like the Christians in Berea and see for yourself the promises and the vital aspects that the gospel of Christ is about. When we buy packaged food items we are always meticulous in checking for expiry dates but little is done when we receive God's word.  We are meant to take personal responsibility for searching, applying and teaching the truth we've gleaned to others.

God desires that all men be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth. Keep sending your roots deeper in the love of God. Search the scriptures daily. Your expression in life is tied to your personal discovery of the truth in the word of God.

Central Truth: Taking responsibility for the discovery of spiritual truth is the key to unlocking the revelation for your destiny.

Focus Scripture: John 8:32

CONFESSION
I have a thirst for the Word of God.
I take responsibility for the discovery of truths in the scriptures,
The light of God is what I walk in.
I  am like a city without walls.
I am unlimited
I am not carried about by every wind of doctrine.
The truth in God's word stabilises me.

ALL THINGS NEW.

   HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW.

"And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelations 21:5

It takes God to make new things. Innovation is no substitute for creation. God is the custodian of the power to make something new. He alone changes our inner nature from the sinful old man to the New Man created in Christ Jesus.

John was instructed to write that these words were faithful and true. God is not a man that He should lie. He's able to make good his word.

Are you looking forward to new experiences in your life, family, career etc. You need not look too far. Connect to the source of all things; that is, God Himself.

Man can only give you old stuff packaged anew. Satan gives only crumbs and steals the substance from you. Look to God and He'd make his word good in your life.

Central Truth: Newness lies with God.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: REV 21:5

PRAYER:
Lord, make all things new in my life. Amen
