SNAP OUT OF IT

It was a discovery so great for me when I read through Spirit Controlled Temperament written by Tim LaHaye. I was able to finally able to realise that I was a combo of the Phlegmatic and the Melancholy. Great discovery right? I was amazed by the strengths that both temperaments possessed. But with the strengths come weaknesses as well which isn't something to laugh about.

Over the years, there have been up and down moments, I've gone in and out of those 'melancholic' states. I usually excused it for the nature, as a matter of fact, those very close to me understood me as well. But I've come upon a new light, if you intend to go far in the journey of destiny, you've got to SNAP OUT OF the Weaknesses of your natural temperament and states.

Today, the charge is to step out of your weaknesses into Christ strength, allow God's ability to magnify itself through you. The things I've been able to do on this Visionary journey, should naturally be difficult and require an external drive. But God, who is the One at work on my inside has been the Driver of my Life, he steers me up and helps me snap out of the natural tendencies of my temperament. Some people may consider me a Choleric because I pester people and literally stand on their necks to get things done, I may be as sociable as a Sanguine as it relates to the task at hand. I call meetings and interact, I love to meet people ask questions and explore. New abilities and strengths are been developed day by day.

Never forget, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new"

Central Truth: As a New Creation in Christ you're are not limited by the limitations of your temperament.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 5:17

PRAYER
LORD, continue your work in me, and manifest your strength in areas of my weaknesses in Jesus Name.

BELIEVERS AND BUILDERS

In the journey of Vision there are many kinds of people you'd come across. These people may either be for your vision, or against your vision. Many times as young Visionaries, we love to seek for people to buy into the vision, to believe in what we do, to believe in us and the  dreams of our hearts. This request is often granted, but it is not always sufficient. Today, I was privileged to meet Chichi Umuseaka the Founder of 9ineteen Networks, on a campaign we are about to carry out in Precious Jewels Development Initiative. While returning, the thought came into my heart, that there are two kinds of people, Builders of Vision and Believers in Vision.

If you intend to go further and faster in your journey into the vision, you must first  seek for Builders, and have a handful of them. Having builders will raise the vision to heights you never thought possible. Schedule meetings with top people in your field, ask for them to be your mentors, learn from them, read their updates on social media, follow their shows. Remember Jesus, he chose out the 12; the builders of the vision first before launching out into public ministry where it was recorded a number of times that "great multitudes followed him"

Obviously, they believed in the vision, but they were not builders. In the end only 120 disciples received the Holy Spirit in the upper room and spread the faith round the world. They were builders.

Though the builders may not be on your core team like Jesus, but you should maintain a cordial relationship with them.

Central Truth: Seek for Builders of the vision, they would uplift God's vision for your life far more than you can do with those who only believe in you.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Matthew 8:1

PRAYER
LORD, send my way people that will build up the vision that you've given to me in Jesus Name.

REMEMBER

Man has the tendency to forget the good and acts of kindness received. This was displayed in the lives of the children of Israel, when at the face of difficulties they rebel, revolt and disobey God. They were quick to forget God's previous goodness.

As the year draws to an end, be quick to remember God's goodness to you. Focus on the testimonies that you've had in the course of the year. As you are crossing over into the new year, forget the Previous difficulties and challenges and hold on to what God is showing you ahead. The 'red sea' is parted before you, so don't look back.

For someone reading this tonight, God would have you know that "He is the Rewarder". The word says "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" Perhaps you've been expecting a reward, a blessing, a gift from someone or a group of people, God wants you to look to Him from Now. HE IS THE REWARDER.

Central Truth: Don't give in to having short term memories. Remember God's goodness.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Psalms 103:2

ACTION POINT
Create space tonight to remember God's goodness to you. Also, as it concerns you, shift your focus on God completely. Your reward is ready.

CHRIST OR FATHER CHRISTMAS?

This season (Christmas) is a unique one, one that is remarkable. However, for many, the mental picture that comes to mind when Christ is mentioned is Holidays, Plenty of food, merriment, and most especially Father Christmas.

The identity of Father Christmas has so engulfed our minds that the essence of the season is often times lost. Today during Christmas we take kids to go see Father Christmas, they're happy to receive gifts. Is that all?

Let's get back to the scriptures to get an understanding. It is  recorded that wise men came from the east to give gifts to Jesus and to worship. Christmas is a about Jesus, today Jesus is still in the 'Manger' though not literally, but he's amongst the less privileged, the homeless, the naked, those in prison. The wise men gave precious gifts, we are to do likewise this season, the Shepherds Praised God, we are to do likewise this season, though the savior has not and would never be reborn, we must live with the revelation of God's plan that was FINISHED in Jesus Christ.

Here's why you should celebrate Jesus "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Central Truth: Christmas is not for Father Christmas but for Jesus Christ. Don't let Santa seize the show.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 9:6

PRAYER
LORD, help me to live in the understanding of what Jesus came to accomplish for us in Jesus Name.

A VIRTUOUS WOMAN

I read the Proverbs 31 description once and realised something. It says "A virtuous woman who can find?" It's a question, the answer is GOD. God is the first groom that everyone has, either as a man or a woman.

The beautiful thing about this is that any lady can be a virtuous woman. It has nothing to do with background, past life, or mistakes made. Only one thing is needful, a Fruitful and vibrant relationship with God. I've come to appreciate women, from the one who gave me birth, my little sister, my late grandma, friends, other family members and women achieving great things in different areas of life.

As with everything in life, process is required. Success in anything doesn't come overnight but overtime. The foundation for being a virtuous woman is Character. The beauty of character cannot be compared to anything.

Today, the charge to the ladies is that God can and He is willing to make you better everyday. To the men, appreciate every woman in your life. Sometimes, I'm amazed when I realise that there are only two kinds of people God made, that's the male and female. God could have created a third gender but he didn't. He has a purpose. Appreciate Women.

Central Truth: Any lady can grow to be a Virtuous woman, only let God groom you.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 31:1

PRAYER:
LORD, help me to understand the purpose and power of being a male/female in Jesus Name.

PUT YOUR BODY UNDER

Naturally from birth, we've been programmed to respond to whatever the flesh demands, from the crying baby to the angry man, from the glutton to the addict, each one responds to the dictates of the flesh. However, we are in the New Testament times, we operate by a different set of rules.

The scripture says  "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh". Your body is subject to your spirit, which is also your inner man. Now that you're in Christ, you are a new creation and you've got the Divine Nature (2 Peter 1:3-4). Your Divine status supersedes your earthly status.

I've come to realise that our feelings are voices, and indeed a Language, a Language spoken by the body. The next time when your body tries to tell you not to fast, or to attend that prayer meeting, or to go for that vigil, you can always speak to it. God created you to have Dominion and that must begin by conquering your selfish desires. That's what Adam and Eve failed to do. They were created to dominate the earth, but they failed the very first test to conquer their own selves. Thank God for the restoration that has come through Jesus our Lord.

Central Truth: Your body is subject to your spirit and not the other way around.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:12

CONFESSION
I am not a slave to my body.
I respond to the directions in my Spirit man.
I do not indulge myself in selfish pleasures.
I pursue godliness at all times.
My body is the temple of God.

DOMINATE

Today, a top member of staff at the office brought her two kids to work. Immediately, they began to touch the time machine, run around the building playing hide and seek, one of them even hid under my table. They practically took over the office, the noise level increased and of course they made a huge difference to the normal office environment. They were cautioned a bit, but they still played. They can't conform to the environment, it's not in their nature.

Contrary to what is believed, domination isn't a product of well devised strategy or arms. It is a nature programmed into each one of us by default. However, this nature can only function by having the heart of a child. Jesus rightly said "... Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven". Children, like the ones in the office today, are free in their minds, the limitations that adults have come to accept aren't present in their minds.

In order to really live the dominion lifestyle, there is a need to become as a child. It's written "where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty",today allow the Spirit of God to eliminate all barriers you've set up in your mind which limits the working of God in you and through you.

Central Truth: it's only those with the mindset of children that really dominate.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Matthew 18:3, 2 Corinthians 3:17

PRAYER:
LORD, by your Spirit I release myself from every limitations of the mind in Jesus Name. I declare that my mind is transformed in Jesus Name.

STAY FIT

Today, several people pay huge sums and spend incredible hours in the gym to develop fitness. There are benefits attached to this, the scriptures also records that "... bodily exercise PROFITETH little". There's an advantage in being fit physically.

Nevertheless, it must be noted that there's more to being fit than going to the gym or getting a six-Pack. That extra is Godliness. You know that feeling you have when you can lift your hands in worship to God without any condemnation, shame, doubt or guilt. You know that confidence you have that your prayers would always be heard. That assurance you have of your Salvation. These kind of results cannot be obtained in the gym, no matter how long you spend in there.

The charge today is to embrace godliness, it would give you sound mind, peace and prosperity. The gym might give you biceps, but godliness will give you access to all God's provision for your life. See the end of the scriptures quoted above "For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Embrace godliness today.

Central Truth: Godliness profits more than anything in life.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 4:8

GETTING DRESSED FOR YOUR DESTINATION

While going to the Redemption camp on Friday, I had to dress up bearing in mind the cold atmosphere that is present in the camp. On the way, I realised that I was sweating a little bit and the sun was also giving his best smile. The bus was tight and the heat was a little above normal, I couldn't afford to taken off anything I was wearing. while all these went on, what kept coming to my mind was 'I'm dressed for the destination'. I know the camp would be very cold, windy and all, and to be able to combat that I've got to be well covered up.

These thoughts and situation relates well with destiny and the pursuit of purpose. When you're on a journey to make a difference in your world, you've got to get dressed for it. You may sweat, be laughed at, be uncomfortable, but it's only temporary. It would soon Come to pass. When you see a woman in a weeding gown, you immediately conclude that she's on the way to the altar. Every destiny has its own regalia, it's own requirements. Been on this path of destiny means you've got to be Dressed with God's Presence, God's power, God's Wisdom. As you do these, you would face challenges, but know that they're temporary. Don't 'undress' because of worldly pleasure and pressure. Stay clothed with the armor of God, stay dressed.

Central Truth: getting dressed for where God would have you go is a must.

PRAYER:
LORD, help me not to bow to the temporary challenges of life, help me remain dressed for that destination in Jesus Name.

GRANDPA'S PORTRAIT

During my grandpa's 80th birthday, there was a gift presented to him. It was a portrait, a drawing of one of his pictures. It turned out that the artist didn't do a great job. It looked like someone else. I knew the portrait was the picture of someone, but one thing was certain, it wasn't grandpa. Whenever it comes to mind it makes me laugh and laugh.

Today, you've got to understand that no one other than God knows you so well. Infact David said, "For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust"
God knows you in depth and there is no need to pretend in his presence because everything is open before His eyes.

So what portrait of you are people painting?? Does it look like what God shows you in His word? Today, that picture is not in grandpa's parlour anymore. On his 81st birthday he demanded for another portrait. We had another picture framed and enlarged. Now we had a real Picture, and people didn't have to guess if it was grandpa.

Let God paint the picture of who you are. When men do so, it would always be incomplete. Rest in God's word.

Central Truth: Only God's painting of you is the real one.

IT GETS CLEARER WHEN YOU ASK

With the development in Internet technology and the vast information at our finger tips it has become very easy to be informed. When you input a Word into the search engine of Google for instance, in less than 1 second, thousands and millions of results come up. You asked and the answers came.

Now,if a man-made search engine could make this possible, how much more God? Ever before Google was founded, God had given us that opportunity in Matthew 7:7 when he said "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened"

Do you know that ever before you ask, God not only knows what you want to ask, but already has the answers? He can tell you things to come and how to prepare for them. Google can give you valuable information, but only God can give Revelation. Information is good but revelation is much more better. It is the food of your spirit. Information feeds your mind, revelation feeds your Spirit man.

Today's charge is to believe God so much so that when you want to pray, you go into His presence with a heart full of Thanksgiving knowing that your expectations are not only already known to Him, but are already granted.

Central Truth: ASK GOD!

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Matthew 7:7-8

ACTION POINT:

LIFE IS IN PHASES

Life is in phases. We are expected by God to maximise each phase, to make the most of each moment we breathe on this side of eternity.

Someone called in the other day and spoke about his current Place of employment in a tone that wasn't encouraging. Immediately the thoughts kicked in that this was just a phase in his life. God intentionally allowed us to be bound by time so as to live a life that can be measured and accounted for.

The book of Ecclesiastes couldn't have put it better. It is written "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven". Back in the secondary school, our Yoruba teacher would always say 'No condition is permanent'. Truly, we are constantly moving from one phase of life to another.

For the fact that you are not where you are yesterday you should be THANKFUL, and for the fact that God has plans for your Future you should be Expectant and filled with HOPE.

Appreciate your current level and see God take you from Glory to Glory.

Central Truth: Life is in Phases. Be thankful and hopeful.

SEEING IS BELIEVING

Truly seeing is believing, but it depends on the kind of eyes used to see. We have the natural sight, and we have the sight of Faith. After Abraham had inquired of God it is written thus "And he BELIEVED in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness"- emphasis added. Abraham believed what God showed to him. God showed him the stars in the sky and said "so shall thy seed be" and he believed. There and then God counted that act as righteousness.

For whatever God shows to you in the realm of your imagination, or what he impacts to your heart via the Word, it is expected of you that you Believe it. Whatever God says is as good as DONE. God is not showing you because he expects you to bring it to pass, He is showing it to you because He can make it happen. In the real world, when a contractor is to build a skyscraper for instance, he creates pictures and a sample to be presented to the client. Now, the client may know nothing about how to build one, but the contractor can, he has the materials, man power and technical know how to build a skyscraper for you.

In like manner, God is committed to bring what he has said to pass in your life, because He has everything needed to bring His dream for your life to pass. Trust him to bring His Word to fulfilment. He CANNOT fail.

Central Truth: Believe what you see as long as you see through the eyes of Faith.
FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Genesis 15:6

PRAYER:
LORD, I trust that you would bring your word to pass in my life. Show me my part and grant me the Grace to do it in Jesus Name.

IT'S TIME TO TRUST GOD MORE

I sat to eat today and I thought to myself how come we trust those who make the food so much. We just see an eatery and we walk in to order whatever we want as it relates to what they offer. Then we consume what is laid before us. That's trust. Real Trust. With No questions asked we let our tummy enjoy the delicacies that slide down the throat.

It's really time to trust God more. The heart of man is said to be desperately wicked. In other words, we can't always tell what someone is planning. But God has said in His word that His thoughts towards us are good and not of evil. Certainly, when God asks you to jump, he would catch you. He cannot deny his word because denying His Word is like Denying Himself. God is God and His Word is the same as Himself.

What has God said to you? Perhaps it's yet to come to pass. Wait on Him. More importantly TRUST him to bring His Word to pass. It is written "They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever"

Central Truth: Trust God more. He is more than able to bring His Word to pass in your life.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Psalm 125:1

I DIDN'T COME FOR HIM

Yesterday, I met one of the teenagers that attended SEIZE THE FUTURE, we got talking and she spoke about her experience and the impact of the program. She spoke positively about the whole event, then she paused and talked about a particular incident that occurred with the way she was treated by another teenager who assisted at the event. While I tried to apologize on his behalf, she made this remarkable statement, 'It's okay, I didn't come because of him'. Her sincerity got me, here was a young teen who knew how to focus on the needful and let the little things pass away.

How many times have you let little words and actions of others weigh you down, or put you in a mood that is not resourceful, or perhaps you've even chosen not to forgive those who hurt you. That should not be the case. Someone rightly said "Wisdom is knowing what to overlook"

See what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:20 "Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men"
When you walk in understanding, issues that others consider big would be nothing to you.

Central Truth: Have understanding. Know what to overlook.

HE GAVE US HIS BEST

God is the greatest example there is. While mankind was dead in Sin he gave us His best, Jesus Christ even without asking for it.

Consider the Scripture in Romans it says "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"

One reason why many Christians fail to trust that God would grant their request is not because of the absence of Faith(because every believer already has a measure of Faith- 2 Peter 1:4, Romans 12:3) but because there's insufficient knowledge on how great Jesus Is. When you come to know the weight of the sacrifice that Jesus gave, you'd realise that your needs are already met in Christ and you'd be expectant of answers whenever you ask.

Today appreciate God's goodness and kindness shown to mankind through Jesus Christ.

Central Truth: God's goodness is overwhelming. Appreciate Him today for the gift of Salvation or receive Him today if you have not. Simply ask Him to be your Lord and Personal Savoir.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:32

LORD, give me a deeper understanding of what Jesus accomplished for me in Jesus Name.

SEIZE THE DAY

We've spoken so much about Seizing the Future. Certainly we will! However, we can only seize the Future when we seize each day. In other words, to realise God's plan and purpose for your life, there is a need to take each day with intentionality. There's a need to take tiny steps everyday.

The Psalms record thus "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom". When you learn to number your days, taking records of your actions and how it aligns with your purpose, you would gain more wisdom for the journey ahead. There's really nothing that differentiates a Monday from a Wednesday, the difference is what you do in each day.

You don't need to wait for a new week, new month, or new year to start living your purpose. It starts NOW. Ask God to show you what you need to do each day and Expect His answer. He loves you top much to allow the Future take you by Surprise.

It's time you began to Seize your Day!

Central Truth: Each day matters in destiny.

LORD, Grant me wisdom daily to make the most of each day of my life in Jesus Name.

BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING

Anxiety is a way of life for many. Anxiety differs from anticipation. Anticipation energizes you, it gives hope and positive expectations. Anxiety is often related to fear, it consumes you, drains you of the needed energy to do the task you should everyday.

Even as this year races to an end, God want you to know you've got nothing to be anxious about. Paul writing to the Philippians said  "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God"

So rather than worry be expectant. God is only committed to granting the expectations of the Righteous and not their anxieties or worries.
Pray more in this season. Expect better things.

Central Truth: Be expectant of good things and not anxious.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Philippians  4:6

PRAYER
LORD, I cast all my cares on you. Through your divine power I steer clear of every reason to be worried in this season in Jesus Name.

TALK ISN'T CHEAP

One way God's vision for your life will come to manifestation is by continually discussing it. Many times in the Christian circles, it's been said that we shouldn't talk about one's plans and directions because there might be some wicked people somewhere waiting to kill those dreams. Yes there are and would always be Devils and wicked people out to terminate God's dream for your life. That's why being prayerful and watchful is very important.

Today we would look at the story of Joseph. It was recorded "And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed. For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf......And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Looking at the life of Joseph you'd realise that God's dream for his life advanced as he kept speaking about it. The first time he only saw his brother's sheaves bowing before him, the next time he saw stars and also the moon and the sun bowing down.

It's a Spiritual law that Life and Death are in the power of the tongue. So, whenever you speak, you give LIFE to that idea, vision God has placed in your heart. That's why you shouldn't joke with your Words. You are a king, and where the Word of a King is there is power. Have you spoken to your brethren about your dreams? Are you so much concerned about what their reactions would be? You need not be. Engage the power of tour tongue today.

One proof that you have faith in God's plan for your life is to speak it out. In the world they need to see before believing, in the Kingdom, we believe, speak and then receive.

Central Truth: Give utterance to God's vision for your life. Talk ain't cheap afterall.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Genesis 37:1-10

ACTION POINT:
1. Create time today to discuss your dreams with your friends, family and close associates. See what happens. You'd be amazed how things start to take shape.
......
