"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. "
Have you ever seen a pipeline? Sure you have. The pipe conveys liquid substances from one point to another. It serves as a passage way for water, etc to pass through.
In like manner, God intends that we be a channel through which Divine virtues are transmitted to the earth. You were designed to exist as a channel to bring to manifestation spiritual realities and the will of God where your life and every other person attached to you is concerned. The Holy Spirit is an example of who and what a channel should be. In John 14 the scripture tells us that "he will not speak of his own" In other words, he wouldn't speak on his own authority, though he has his own authority. It says further that "whatsoever he shall hear that shall he also speak".
Though the Holy Spirit is God yet he chooses not to use his authority in fulfilling his Divine purpose on earth. Paul in the book of Ephesians 5:1 admonishes us to be imitators of God.
In order for you to be a proper channel for impacting mankind with the things of heaven you need to to get the following facts.
Get these quick facts about being a channel:
1. You surrender your own authority: the water pipe never decides or determines what flows through it, it quietly stays positioned while you pass whatsoever it is you'd want to pass through. Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal with God, the Holy Spirit has chosen to speak only what he receives. Paul tells us to "present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service"
2. It's connected to a source: a water pipe doesn't store water in itself. It is connected to a tank or a réservoir. The réservoir releases water that flows through the pipe. God is our source. Everything flows from Him. He's Life. Jesus says "I am the way the Truth and the Life". In like manner we are not meant to live independent of God. The pipe remains dry as long nothing flows through. When we disconnect ourselves from God we are dry and irrelevant to our world. Stay connected.
3. It has a Destination: the pipe connects one point to another. Water flows from the tank to the tap. The tap is used within the house. Jesus said to "love your neighbour as yourself". In other words, the persons around us are to benefit from what we carry and what flows through us. Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power and went about doing good and healing all those oppressed of the devil" The world is our mandate, the whole of humanity is our target. Our world needs our salt. The world is our field.
Central Truth: You bare within you the life of God meant to impart your world.
