WHEN IT(SIN) FINISHES

WHEN IT (SIN) FINISHES
"Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

Tonight we'd be talking about a topic that's familiar to all. The poor and the rich know it, the great and the small have all been victim of him. He's not an alien to us all. In fact we were conceived with him in us just as David wrote: I was shapen in Iniquity, in sin did my mother conceive me.

Sin is a villain. He never comes with a one time agenda. He comes subtly, he creeps in little by little. He entices us through the things we are drawn to. When we allow him, he immediately begins to unveil his manifesto phase after phase. What scares me about Sin in this scripture are the words WHEN IT(SIN)  IS FINISHED. The other place in the Bible where phrase IT IS FINISHED was used, was when Jesus hung on the cross and was about to dismiss his Spirit.

From this we can gain an understanding of what sin can do. Sin has an agenda to complete in any life that tolerates him. Samson tolerated sin and in the end he lost his two eyes, and died shamefully with his enemies. Judas Iscariot gave place to sin, and when sin finished with him he had no place among the 12 anymore. He had to be replaced.

Are you giving place to sin in your life? You might be enjoying the little pleasures now, perhaps no one knows about it because it is being committed in the secret. Know this: There's nothing hidden that wouldn't be revealed. IF YOU REFUSE TO END YOUR AGREEMENT WITH MR. SIN, HE WOULDN'T HESITATE TO FINISH HIS OWN AGENDA.

Tonight make a decision to eliminate the little foxes that spoil your vine. Deal with  the sins that easily besets you every now and then. Bishop David Oyedepo once said SIN IS A DESTINY SINKER. Sin is not a toy, it is rather a threat to your glorious destiny in Christ.

Central Truth: if you fail to deal with sin it would deal with you severely.

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: JAMES 1:15

PRAYER:
LORD, tonight I  end my agreement with every sin in my life. I receive the grace needed to live a life of Righteousness in Jesus Name. Amen
