STAY STRENGTHENED BY GRACE

Heb 13:9

"...for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace..."

The troubles of life always begin in your heart. You are thinking of so many things at the same time.

You have so many pictures that are playing as a slide show in split seconds and you are concerned on how to deal with them all.

In all these things, it is good for your heart to be strengthened by grace.

Scriptures says "Guard your heart with all diligence for our of it flows the issues of life."

The journey of life to fulfill God's mandate is not a smooth ride. It comes with a lot of obstacles that can reduce your momentum.

The trials of life will always rear its ugly head to put you down. As a kingdom soldier, you will need to "stay strengthened by grace."

By your own strength (with limitations), you can't prevail. But with the strength of God (grace without limits) you will always prevail. Grace energy is completely able to keep you on the winning side.

Paul told Timothy in the book of 2 Tim 2:1:
"You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus,"

Imagine what will happen to a petrol powered vehicle being filled with water.

No matter how beautiful the car features are, as long as it's not filled up with the right fuel, all functions can't be seen in operation.

The fuel meter will definitely show that the car's fuel tank is full but apparently with the wrong substance. .

This is a challenge for many believers. We appear to be full of "self strength" but forget that it has it's limits.

There are times that will prove difficult in your life pursuit. Wilderness seasons will arise but those strengthened by grace are assured of total victory.

Let's consider the Amplified version of 2 Cor 12:9.

"But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed)and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness."

God is the only one who truly understands your needs and He should always be your number one stop for to draw strength (grace) tailored to your needs.

Heb 4:16
"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

The highlight of today is for you to "stay strengthened" by grace. You have to stay plugged in and consistently live in that consciousness.

Consciousness of what?

That every believer in Christ Jesus is solely powered by grace. Grace brought you to this family of God and grace is the only "fuel" that can sustain you.

Action Point
Today, identify that area where you truly know you have reached your end and consciously and deliberately invite God into the situation. Write them out in a paper and daily say "I have prevailed by grace."

Prayer Point
Lord, I have no power of my own. I acknowledge that I can't pull (Insert those specifics here) on my own. Strengthen me by your grace to victory in Jesus name.

Confession
I am a kingdom soldier of God.
I have been bought with a price.
With the precious and victorious blood of Jesus Christ.
Hence, I am powered by grace. I am never limited by earthly circumstances.

FACTS ABOUT VISION -5

Yesterday we learnt that Vision Demands Time and Process. Yes it does. Today we learn about the place of Energy.

VISION DEMANDS ENERGY

Since I returned from NYSC last year we added about four other leaders to the Leaders Team of the Youth Organization. With every new person on board there was a need to connect with them personally. Over the years I had built a relationship with the other leaders such that it's easy to work with them in getting things done. In connecting with the new Leaders I got the direction to reach out to them personally, send writen documents to them to get them in tune with the vision. Some stay far from where I stay. It required visiting them at home, office. The relationship is still being built. During our programs we'd have to a lot of logistics and plan execution that would require a number of activities. These we do not just because of passion but because the  energy is readily available.

Youth connotes energy, strength, capacity. No wonder it is young men that God gives Vision to. The energy of the Youth is expected to be spent in the pursuit of Vision.  The men that built the Tower of Babel couldn't have been aged, they must have been young and vibrant men ready to take a go at bringing dreams to pass. The truth is, certain noble and impactful causes would loose their appeal as we age. Not because they are evil, but because the energy to pursue them would have been depleted. This brings to mind what the Preacher said "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them"- Ecclesiastes 12:1

Sadly, many young people, some I've met and some I'm sure you've met personally, spend their energy on sex, drinks, hard drugs, gambling, scamming and cheating others etc. You would find young men at the root of vices and the many problems we face as a nation and in the church circles. The Sons of Eli depleted their strength fornicating with the women in the temple and also handling the sacrifices with contempt. You know their end...

John wrote "I have written unto you, young men, because ye are STRONG, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one."- 1 John 2:14. The Preacher also says "The glory of young men is their STRENGTH"- Proverbs 20:29. When you use this strength in the building of the kingdom and adding value to the Lives of men, you're using your strength for its true purpose. It's an investment. Using it to gratify the desires of the flesh not only depletes you but has the ability to disconnect you from God eternally.

Turn ON that energy. Direct it fully in the direction of Vision.

The question is: What are you doing with your Youthful Energy?

For Further Study: Proverbs 31:1-9, 1 Timothy 6

ACTION POINT
1. What are the things you're presently engaged in that drains you of energy?
2. Identify and eliminate them.
3. Channel your energy into your Purpose on a Daily Basis.
