PURPOSE AND INTEGRITY

Purpose is the reason a thing was created. Destiny preceded creation. You and I are here to answer the call of purpose. Men who follow purpose are not bankrupt on integrity. Integrity  means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. In order to follow God's purpose for your life, you must maintain a standard of integrity; strict adherence not only to moral principles but godly principles. Paul makes us understand that godliness profits in every way and has benefits both in this life and in the life here after.

Great men do not compromise on the principle of integrity. They are strict in the way they conduct themselves. They have a strong inner compass based on tested principles that guide their decisions, utterances and responses every time. See what Solomon says about this: "The integrity of the upright shall GUIDE them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them"
As believers we have a more sure word of prophecy to take heed to. The word of God when followed will enable us develop integrity as we walk in purpose. A person of integrity doesn't live a double-life, such a person doesn't profess one thing and lives out just the opposite.

Check out men like Paul, David, Peter, Job etc. These walked in God's purpose for their lives, and this was backed up by a personal life of Integrity. You'd see in Job that he kept his integrity through his trials. When the journey of life gets tough your reputation might not mean much but your integrity before God and man will speak.

I wrote about a particularexperience in my just completed book: CRESTED TO SERVE. While in service, I got speaking with a young man who boasted about how frequently he had sex. It seemed like it was something to lift a medal for. I told him I knew where I was going in life and couldn't compromise by living such a life. He was uncomfortable with my answer and tried to justify his actions to which I refuted saying "There is more to life than sex". He wasn't led by strict moral or godly principles.

He doesn't seem to know that pre-marital sex is not enjoyment but fornication and it has its consequence. People who are purposeful know the terms of engagement in this life. It pays to live a life that others can vouch for. People should be able to tell what you are doing at any point of the day, people around you should be able to predict what you'd be doing 5 years from now based on how you've been living your life.

Purpose is constant, but integrity is vital. Don't compromise on it.

Central Truth: You need to imbibe a life on integrity to walk in purpose.
